And we can't wait to see what they'll come up with the next time we see the blocks!

The Elemental Round Robin-2006
(Earth, Wind, Fire, Rain)

Each exchange had a theme that could be interpreted by the quilters as they planned and created their "round." The themes were: Earth, Wind, Fire, and Rain.

Blocks were exchanged every 2 months: February, April, June, August
with the final reveal set for October, but actually not quite totally revealed in November. Scroll down the page to see the quilt tops grow!

April 12th-Kathryn, Janice, Sharon, Donna and Nat hole the five Round Robin projects with their "Earth" element added. Next comes "Air!" We'll see them again in June!

*******

June 12th-Another round has been added and it is Air! We can't wait for August when we will see how "Fire" is interpreted by these quilters!

********

In August the quilters heated it up with their interpretation of "Fire."

**********

We saw how Rain completed two tops in November, and hope to see the others next month. These tops belong to Nat H. and Donna C.

Thank you Sharon D. for another great Round Robin!

2005 Round the Block This project began in February 2005 with just a few participants. More quilters joined the fun and the results are being displayed each month. Participants brought a theme block, a piece of fleece or flannel, additional fabric they would like used in the project (optional) and a quilt lable for all to sign. Each month a different quilter adds two additional theme blocks and some filler blocks. The "owner" will organize and join the blocks to complete the quilt.

Here's Sharon's Round The Block quilt from a few years ago!
Sharon provided the central theme block and others created additional 4" blocks that represented the theme.
2004 Row Robin exchange was greeted with enthusiasm. Some examples of the quilts in progress are shown below.

Marlene B. displays her nearly complete Row Robin in her Wrightwood California home-3/2008.
